The tank type of armchair follows the principle Alvar Aalto introduced in the 1930s: the load-bearing structure is wide bent wood that also serves as the armrests. The Czechoslovak variant was made by UP závody and the gallery records it as the work of Miroslav Navrátil. The pair has been restored from original pieces, with new upholstery. Deep seating and a low stance make these armchairs for long evenings.
